APIAVote Ambassador Cohort Application
APIAVote is seeking passionate student groups to participate in our 2019-2020 Student Ambassador Organization Program. We are looking for student organizations at U.S. colleges and universities to amplify the message of civic engagement and participation, to educate their peers about the AAPI narrative, and engage their peers in building power for their community.

APIAVote will work with our Ambassador Organizations to develop and implement a voter engagement program on their campus and in their community. The focus of the Ambassador is to build power for AAPI youth on college campuses and have the APIA community participate in the civic and political process.

Your organization will be key in coordinating volunteer and team recruitment, voter registration drives, get-out-the-vote program on your campus, educate your community on current AAPI topics, and build sustainable programming at your school.

APIAVote will support Ambassadors through regular webinars and trainings, online hangouts, one-on-one advising, development of materials, and technical assistance. In addition, there will be a mandatory 3-day training in Washington DC during the fall.

The Student Ambassador Cohort program runs from September 2019 to December 2020. APIAVote is offering a $1000 stipend to each Ambassador Organization participating in the program.

Requirements for Student Ambassador Organizations:
-    Be recognized on their college campus;
-    Focus on the AAPI community;
-    Have 2 current college student representative to be the liaison to APIAVote
     (at least one rep must still be a student during fall 2020!);
-    Attend in-person DC Ambassador Summit October 11-13, 2019
-    Committed to participate in the full 15-month program from September 2019 – November 2020;
-    Dedicated to promoting civic participation of AAPIs in the electoral and public policy processes

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Monday, August 19 2019; 11:59 pm PST.
